Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using JointLog — including its web application and related services — you enter into a binding agreement with JointLog. These Terms & Conditions set out the rules for using the platform. If you do not agree with them, you should not use the service.
If you accept these terms on behalf of a company or other organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to bind that organisation, and "you" refers to that organisation. Some features are governed by separate arrangements agreed directly with JointLog, which form part of these terms where they apply.
The Platform
JointLog is a logistics operations platform. It provides software tools that companies use to book, price, track, bill and communicate about shipments. JointLog is not a carrier and does not itself transport goods — physical movement is carried out by the operating company and its partners.
JointLog is delivered as an online service and is improved over time. Features may be added, changed or removed, and availability may vary by company configuration.
Companies & Customers
JointLog is multi-company. Several companies operate on the same platform, each under its own name, logo and pricing, with data kept separate by company and branch. A customer's relationship for a given shipment is with the operating company that serves them — not with JointLog.
Operating companies set their own pricing, taxes, service terms and customer commitments, and are responsible for the accuracy of the information they publish and the service they deliver to their customers.
Accounts & Access
To use JointLog you register an account with accurate, current details, and keep them up to date. Access is role-based — for example company administrators, branch managers, staff and customers each see what is relevant to them.
Keep your credentials confidential and enable two-factor login where available.
Tell us promptly about any unauthorised access or suspected breach.
Accept responsibility for activity carried out under your account.
Use the platform in line with applicable laws and your company's policies.
Pricing, Billing & Currency
Charges to customers are set by the operating company using its own pricing rules and taxes; the customer calculator gives an estimate based on those same rules. JointLog records shipment and storage charges and keeps each company's books.
Billing and accounting support GHS, Naira and CFA (with USD as a fallback). Balances, account statements and journal entries are tracked separately per currency and are never added across currencies.
Proforma invoices are informational summaries of a shipment's charges. Fees for a company's own use of the JointLog platform, where they apply, are as agreed directly with JointLog.
Data & Privacy
We collect and process the information needed to provide the service. Data is scoped to each company, access is authenticated and role-based, passwords are stored hashed, and sessions use signed tokens over encrypted connections. We do not sell your personal information.
Each operating company is responsible for how it handles its own customers' data on the platform and for complying with the laws that apply to it.
Acceptable Use
You agree to use JointLog lawfully and not to misuse the platform. In particular, you must not:
Availability & Liability
JointLog is not responsible for the physical delivery of shipments, the performance of carriers or partners, or goods in transit. Those are the responsibility of the operating company handling the shipment.
The platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While we work to keep it reliable, we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or always available, and access may occasionally be limited for maintenance.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, JointLog is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. You agree to indemnify JointLog against claims arising from your breach of these terms or your use of the platform.
Suspension & Termination
You may stop using the platform at any time. We may suspend or close access where it is reasonably necessary — for example in the cases below — and will make reasonable efforts to give notice, except where fraud or unlawful activity is suspected.
A material breach of these terms or platform policies.
Suspicious, fraudulent or abusive account activity.
Use of the platform for unlawful purposes.
Activity that puts the platform or its users at risk.
Changes & Governing Law
We may update these terms from time to time. When we make material changes we will take reasonable steps to let you know, and your continued use of the platform after the changes take effect means you accept them.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana, and any disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the Ghanaian courts.
